With over four decades of experience as a design build contractor of process intensive facilities, Mouat has used its experience to diversify to a number of different industries. Our background in designing sand systems has been particularly beneficial in the design of frac sand plants. Over the past 10 years, Mouat has designed facilities for some of the industry’s leading companies including Preferred Sands and Fairmount/Santrol.

Dry frac sand plants, wet frac sand plants and resin coating facilities designed by Mouat have less equipment, consume far less energy and utilize less manpower for operation and maintenance. Most importantly, these facilities can be built with far less capital investment. Since Mouat develops and owns their designs, we can replicate our designs to minimize schedule time.

In the design of wet plants, Mouat collaborates with equipment manufacturers such as McLanahan to optimize the process for the customers’ specific sand analysis. Mouat will then design systems to bring raw material to the process and take washed sand from the facility to the dry plant.
