 CLIENT OBJECTIVE
New foundry addition to existing plant to produce gray iron disc brake rotors and drums.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Install new molding system, new green sand system, new melting system, new casting cleaning and handling system, new environmental system, new building, and new infrastructure facilities.
 MOUAT RESPONSIBILITIES
Design plant layout.
Install molding system.
Design, provide and install sand system, casting handling equipment, environmental systems, hot metal delivery system, and electrical controls.
Design melt system pits and foundations; design, provide and install melt deck, piping, wiring, and access platforms; install melt system equipment.
 MAJOR EQUIPMENT LISTING
Molding:
Disa 240C molding machine.
Sand Processing:
Mouat system, including Simpson muller and sand cooler.
Melting:
Inductotherm induction melting furnaces and autopour.
Casting Processing:
Didion media drum, General Kinematics vibratory shakeout and casting handling conveyors, Disa Technologies shot blast machine.
