 CLIENT OBJECTIVE
Greenfield foundry to produce captive ductile iron pipe retainer glands.
SCOPE OF PROJECT
Complete new facility, including all processes required to produce product, along with auxiliary and supporting equipment and facilities.
MOUAT RESPONSIBILITIES
Design of complete plant.
Design, provide and install sand processing system.
Provide Mouat I.C.S. (Information Control System) for plant.
Provide overall project management and general engineering support.
 MAJOR EQUIPMENT LISTING
Molding:
Disamatic 2070B molding machine.
Sand Processing:
Mouat system, including Georg Fischer Disa muller, Carrier fluid bed cooler.
Hot Metal Processing:
Two Inductotherm 10-ton melting furnaces, with preheater and charging system; Inductotherm stopper rod pouring ladle; Biltrite scrap handling crane (North Shore Manufacturing).
Casting Processing:
Didion media drum, Carrier vibratory despruing and cooling conveyors, Wheelabrator continuous shot blast machine.
Core Making:
Two Disamatic Combi-Core cold box core machines. |
